Tools and Hardware Reviews of Bondhus 12632 GorillaGrip, Set of 8 Star Fold-up Keys, sizes T6-T25

Customer Review: Very handy little tool but..
Summary: 4 Stars

The folding Torx multi tool by Bondhus is an extremely handy tool, allowing to carry with you 8 Torx keys, from size 6 to size 25, in a package the size of a pocket knife. It is very well built, the handle appearing to be made of some kind of Nylon, and the keys of black-coated steel (they do not appear to be anodized).
The only problem I have with this tool is not because of some particular flaw it might have but rather because of its very design. For jobs requiring a lot of precision (and when you go below T8 you are usually dealing with very small screws attached to delicate equipment) the weight of the handle makes this tool a bit clumsy to use, especially when in a screwdriver position (when the keys are at an 180 degree angle to the handle). Also, the relatively wide handle gives you a lot of torque, often too much compared to the size of the screw, and over-tightening or even breakage are a risk.

This is a very practical tool for sporadic use but cannot always replace a more precise screwdriver-style single Torx key.

Customer Review: perfect torx set for knives
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this tool to use in performing maintenance on my knives. I was having a problem finding a good torx bit set that contained all of the smaller sizes, they would invariably be missing one that I needed for one knife or another. This is the perfect item for fulfilling that requirement, it contains all of the bit sizes I have ever seen on any knife. It's a little smaller and more lightweight than this company's hex key sets and larger torx set, so it's not unwieldy for more delicate work. I am extremely pleased with the quality and usefulness of this torx set, and would recommend it for anyone's toolkit.

Customer Review: Complete Set of Hard to Find TORX Screwdrivers
Summary: 4 Stars

I needed the TORX #6 to change the hard drive in my MacBook Pro and could not find the screwdriver in local hardware stores like Home Depot & Lowes; or computer store Best buy. Amazingly none of the small computer tool boxes that I own or could find have TORX screw drivers. This is a well made tool, the biggest plus being that you have all sizes of TORX screwdrivers in one tool. The downsides are, that the handle can sometimes be too big for narrow spaces (which is probably inevitable), and you have to press vertically along the axis of the screwdriver to keep it steady.

Overall, it works well.

Customer Review: Pretty Darn Good
Summary: 5 Stars

The Gorilla Grip Torx Screwdriver Key is pretty good. I bought it to help disassemble XBOX 360 systems and controllers. It works damn fine on the systems, but the controllers have a tamper proof screw in them. You need a screwdriver with an indent in it to be able to open it with ease, though these do still work. You just have to fiddle with it and find a sweet spot. All in all, well worth the purchase. The only con I have is when the blades are open, they move around very easily, though if you happen to have another torx screwdriver, you can tighten them. SO I guess it's really not that big of a deal.

Customer Review: Didn't Work On My Towel Bar
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this to tighten the tiny screw used to install a towel bar in my bathroom. It seems to be made of excellent materials but there are two huge issues that I took with it:

1.) none of the screwdrivers lock into place so they swivels around while you're trying to screw something in.

2.) The cary case handle is so chubby that I couldn't rotate it whatsoever since the towel bar is so close to the wall.

While the T8 driver was the perfect size, this tool ended up being virtually useless for it's intended purpose due to the handle being so thick.
