This slightly smokier incense is a nice change from Japanese sticks. It comes in a white box with a cellophane outer wrapper, and when first opened, it reminded me of the smell you get when you go into a pier I -- that's good, as far as I'm concerned.
As for the scent, my nose can't detect any green or herbal note at all. It seems more spicy than herbal. There is a sort of classy, sweet smell, just really pleasant. It took me several weeks to appreciate this incense, but when I returned to it after burning some kai un koh for awhile, I found I liked this one just as well.
