I've used this screw driver kit from Boxer for about three years now and they are excellent. I use them to repair anything from desktops (they're sometimes a little too small so a larger one comes in handy) to laptops and everything in between. I find them ideal for work on Macs, especially. I like that they come with about every bit that a computer manufacturer would use and they all fit nicely back into the small kit.
Like I said, I've used the same kit for three years so that attests to its durability. They're very well made - just don't drop the plastic case (the door hinge cracked off so I super glued it back on).

I bought these tools to remove the screws from a hard drive on a dell notebook. A local computer shop wanted $60 to do the job. The screws are very small phillips head. One of the phillips head tools in this set was small enough, but it couldn't get a good "bite" on the screw. I tried one of the small flat head tools. I twisted that tool. So its lost.
However, I ended up draw filing the original phillips head tool so that it didn't drop so deep into the screw. That worked! These tools did save me almost $50. I would say they are good for light duty work. Good for a hobbist, but not for a lot of serious work.

I got this tool kit for my boyfriend for Christmas. It has pretty much any precision screwdriver head you would ever need. He has already replaced the keyboard to my laptop, and as many people know, laptops as well as other electronics have several types of tiny screws and he had every tip he needed to do the job. The long screwdriver handle is also nice for those tighter spaces. The magnetized heads are an added plus for holding onto those little screws too. It feels very durable and the case keeps everything organized and in one place. I've now bought 12 sets of these for my assembly area and those who don't have them are very jealous of those that do. We build cameras using all #0, #2 and #4 screws with all types of heads including torx, which all happened to be included here. I've been using these for about a year and a half and nothing has broken, and the first set still works as well as the newest.
The only advice I would give is that you can buy these direct from the mfr, boxer tools and save [...] a set (in any quantities and especially because of the individual shipping charge.)

nice collection of bits but neither adequate for an entire range of precision jobs (especially upon smaller items) nor durable enough to withstand bigger jobs and heavier duty uses (stripped two bits already and i describe myself as relatively careful - and technically inclined enough to review these with some confidence). The old adage is true, you do get what you pay for... if you want a set of nice "precision" tools (a la small electronics/security repair), pay more and get WiHa or equivalent.
