I bought this pack of 10 replacement filters and am very happy with it.
In Boston, where most buildings are older, the water quality (due to the older water pipes) could be pretty bad. Many people buy bottled water and I did that when I first moved here. But it's heavy and expensive, so I decided to get myself a Brita filter.
Brita filter makes regular tap water tastes great! If you're still not comfortable with it, filter then boil it!
This pack of 10 is a great value especially when the price is discounted. Since it is something that I'd keep using (like tissue paper!), it is great to stock up on it so that I won't have to pay a higher price at the local stores.

These Brita Filters for All Those Brita Pitchers and Dispensers are a Great Value to Begin with When Compared to Bottled Water and are Also Much Better for the Environment. I Own the Big Rectangular Brita Dispenser that Holds Alot of Water, which Means Less Time Refilling. You Can't Beat the Amazon Price of These Filters at about $4 a Filter, Anywhere Online or In Store. I Definitely Recommended You Buy the 10 Pack Size for the Best Value per Filter if You Use or Will Use Your Pitcher or Dispenser on a Daily Basis. Easy to Install and Use. I bought it in March 2009, it arrived on time, good to use-- but all the four replacement filters that I used leak small black particles into the base of pitcher.
I was not overtly concerned about the black particles-- guess it's just carbon from the filter. But my previous filters (bought from Target) didn't have this long-lasting leak-- they cleared out after three water replacements.
Is it the same quality bought this purchase? I have no other test to verify, but it would be nicer if the small black particle leakings would be improved.

This product works very well. I use these for filtering water in my water dispenser. It makes the water taste so much better. It really gets rid of all those nasty chemicals in the water. And they work for a couple of weeks, about two months. You just let them soak first in some water for about twenty minutes and you're all set.
The filters go with either the pitcher or the water dispensers, as long as they're made by Brita. I got the ten pack because I can save the most money without having to reorder them every couple of weeks.

I don't have to buy bottled water anymore with Brita filters, my city water taste a whole lot better. Purchased the pitcher and filter at Costco to try in Nov 08 and now needed replacement filters, Amazon has great price for 10 filters.I keep pitcher on kitchen counter and family drinks more water, we save, no more recycle bottles to worry about that no one would take out on recycle day. Now if I could just make everyone fill the pitcher, I do it gradly.
