If you buy this, save yourself potential headache and IMMEDIATELY call the Brita 800 # and ask for metal connectors. I haven't had success keeping the connection tight without the metal ones. The cheap plastic connectors included in the original package are almost guaranteed to fail. Brita must know this...I wish they would fix this problem and just include the metal ones standard.Customer Review: Falls off faucet

Unless you're sure your sink's faucet fits with the Brita filtration system without an insert, I wouldn't get this. We had to use one of the provided plastic inserts and it almost immediately started falling off the faucet. Now the thing falls off multiple times per day without so much as a touch, plus water constantly leaks from around the connection joint. Very frustrating!Customer Review: Frustrating

The first unit kept falling off the tap so I got a second one. The second unit kept falling off the tap. Duh. The connecting piece is plastic and the water pressure pushes it off the tap, stripping the plastic threads. Water Pik makes a sturdier tap unit. I've taken to filtering that through a Brita pitcher filter into a glass pitcher....well, it works!Customer Review: Good value, no problems with this Brita filter

I love this filter. It has functioned perfectly for me without any problems. Just yesterday the "red light" change indicator came on after contanst use for 4 months. I think that is much better value than the Brita pitchers. Plus, there is no "plastic" taste if your water sits in the fridge pitcher too long. This is a must have for any home. It is easy to install, maintain and filters are easy to find. Another cool feature is not only can you switch from filtered water to unfiltered water for washing dishes, but you can also change how the water is delivered. By this I mean you can switch from the standard way water flows from the tap to a spray.
