I have had this product for I think about 6 months now and I still haven't had to change the filter. When I first got it, I did have to buy an attatchment from the hardware store for my faucet. My faucet is the kind that is supposed to look like an old farmhouse faucet, so it was a little small. The attachment was only around $1 so it wasn't a big deal. The filter does leak every now and then, epecially when I use hot water, but it doesn't leak enough to bother me. It still does what it needs to do and it saves me a ton of money on bottled water.Customer Review: NOW THAT'S GOOD WATER!!!

I JUST RECEIVED MINE THIS AFTERNOON AND IT TOOK MY BOYFRIEND LESS THAN 5 MINUTES TO INSTALL AND WAS SO EASY THAT I COULD HAVE DONE IT. WE NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE TASTE OF OUR WATER ALREADY AND ARE HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT. I WILL DEFINITELY DRINK MORE TAP WATER AND THROW AWAY THE PITCHER NOW THAT WE HAVE THIS FILTER. NEW YORK WATER TASTES LIKE A SWIMMING POOL AND THIS MAKES DRINKING IT SO MUCH BETTER! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BRITA FILTER SYSTEM.Customer Review: Definately worth it

I was skeptical at first, but this is really a great product. The water here in Brooklyn often has a chlorine smell and taste. With this Brita system the water has no odor, is crystal clear and tastes great. It's too new to have to replace the filter yet, but as the review and instructions say 1 filter is good for a 100 gallons of water (not 300). If you bought a 100 gallons of water it would cost well over $100. I wish I had invested in it sooner.Customer Review: not working as advertised

no way do you get up to 4 months usage as advertised on TV. customer support says up to 100 gallons of water - I doubt that from my experience. averaged 2 weeks per costly filter. the LED (green, yellow, red) really serves no meaning function as it does not seem to actually give the you the status of the filter's condition.
would not purchase one again. look elsewhere for a different product and consider an under the counter system.

I wanted to buy something that would remove the taste of chlorine from the kitchen faucet but even with the Brita it still tasted like chlorine. After about 2 weeks it started to drip from the where the Brita screws into the faucet. So now you don't have filtered water. My husband replaced washer and it still dripped. If you accidently put the hot water on while someone in the house just before used the filtered part the filter is ruined.
