I was hesitant about buying this based on what people had to say but I have had nothing but a pleasureable experience with this filter. I am not savvy about putting things together so I was nervous but I was able to hook it up in under 5 minutes which was a huge relief. People also said that it leaked, it does for the first 2 minutes until the water goes through enough times to wet the carbon inside and then it's been fine they even said this inside the instruction booklet, there are no leaks. Brita is by far the best filter ever and I am very happy at the ease of use and the ease of installation, I would recommend this for anyone looking for a bathroom filter, for $20 it can't be beat, my water no longer has an odor and it tastes great.Customer Review: Filter doesn't last - water isn't clean.

Pros- Easy set up.
Cons- Filter only lasted 2 weeks, water came out of the purifier part
at too high of a pressure/lots of splatter, water didn't taste
improved at all, fountain portion was useless - it worked but
just sprayed water all over.
Conclusion - Don't get this. Sure, you can toss it when it dies on ya,
which will be in about 2 weeks - but pay more and get
something that actually WORKS and lasts...now I have a
3 stage PUR. And I'm very very happy.
I rarely give bad reviews...unless the product truly disappoints. This one sure did.
Customer Review: Best bathroom upgrade; great for whole family

I've had mine for a number of months and it's fantastic. The drinking water spout (it shoots up just like a fountain) is fantastic for brushing teeth, quick drink, taking pills, etc. Late at night I don't have to venture out to the kitchen for a quick drink of water. Kids love it too - and you can't complain at something that gets kids excited about drinking water, let alone cleaner, filtered water.
Yes, it needs a little re-tightening here and there, but it's not a big deal. It's designed to be disposable when the filter runs out (After about a year), so I didn't expect it to be something that'd last forever. Can't imagine not having one in the bathroom anymore.

I may be wrong, but at 16oz. a day, this filter is only good for about 45 gallons of water. I don't see that lasting a year in any normal household, do you? You're better off bringing a glass of filtered water to your night table from the kitchen like the rest of us...
p.s. What do they mean by "disposable"? That seems to be a very subjective term these days. If I weren't renting I would take the money I spend on water filters and invest it in a water filter system for the house and enjoy filtered water out of every tap, as well as the shower/bath, and laundry.

the rubber piece for making a little fountain broke off quickly and after 1 month the thing just kept falling off my sink over and over .
Regardless of those things it limits the ammount of space you have in your sink since it faces downward.
Instead of getting clean hands I was getting them more dirty by rubbing them all over the sink while trying wash them in the little space I had left.
Look at filters tha mount on top of the faucet and do not face downward
