Tools and Hardware Reviews of Brita MYRF-100 Refrigerator Replacement FilterCustomer Review: awesome but not a snug fit Summary: 4 Stars
great option to the more expensive maytag filter, however it doesnt fit as snug. I installed it and it leaked water all over the fridge, but it my fault it was cross threaded. once i fixed the problem it worked like a charm. Takes a long time to flush before first use. They seem to last longer though, 12 months insted of the 6 month maytag filters. I WILL keep using these brita filters.
Customer Review: Filter fits well but shipment was snail slow. Summary: 3 Stars
The shipment through UPS was snail slow. It took 11 days to arrive. When I tracked the package, it sat in the warehouse 20 miles away from me for 4 days without any progress. Strongly suggest the seller use a different shipping company. This filter fits well on my Jennair refrigerator though. Brita MYRF-100 Refrigerator Water Filter (PuriClean UKF7003AXX Compatible)
Customer Review: Better than OEM Summary: 5 Stars
Except for the slightly-looser fit with the refrigerator fitting in my Maytag Wide-by-side, it installed easily and without leaks (I'm currently on my second filter). It works every bit as well as the original Maytag filter at 2/3 the price. I've used Brita pitcher filters in the past; the water quality seems as good as what I'd get from the pitcher filters.
Customer Review: Good while it lasts Summary: 3 Stars
Lower cost than the OEM filter replacement, and also much better pressure/volume... at first. Ultimately, the pressure decreases with time and requires replacement sooner than the OEM filter. So it may be somewhat of a tossup. At least this filter seems generally easier to find than the OEM filter.
Customer Review: Did not work well Summary: 1 Stars
The filter did not last nearly as long as the manufactures filters. The filter also slowed water flow. It takes twice as long to fill a glass as it used to. I'm switching back to the manufacturers. They are worth paying the extra money for (even if they are grossly over priced).
