We've been using this filter for a few weeks now and it works great. While the connection to the fridge doesn't 'feel' solid, it is securely fastened to the fridge and we love it. The water is well filtered and fresh, but the Brita doesn't fit as solidly as the Maytag filter it supposedly replaces. I will pay a few $ more for the Maytag filter next time, if only to keep from drooling water everywhere while I try to get the Brita to lock in.Customer Review: Works Great, Cost Less

I think the title says it all. Seemed a little tint bit loose but worked fine, didn't leak. I even put a paper towel under it just to make sure but it stayed dry!
So save yourself a few dollars and don't buy the Maytag filter.

After running water through the new filter for about a minute, it works exactly as well as the Maytag filter it replaces. Also, unlike other filters made in China, the Brita filter is all USA!!!
