We've tried all the faucet filters available and were not satisfied with any of them. Last year we bought a Brita and have never looked back. The water has absolutely NO taste after being filtered. Which is good. Before filtering it has a strong chlorine taste. My only complaint, and this is NOT Brita's fault, is that because our water has lots of particulate matter (which we were swallowing before we got the filter!) the filters last only 2-3 weeks, not months. But otherwise, it performs much better than the other major brands. Highly recommend.Customer Review: It does not work at all.

I have used the brita facet mount filter system for 1 year and changed 3-4 times without any problem. For the time to change a filter, I got this pack about a week before. When I set it up on my brita, the orange light was turned on, instead of green. I tried to wash out for several minutes, but it does not work. There was still orange light. I thought it is better than red light. But, after one week, the light was turning to red. Is the life of the filter just a week? It did not even work at all.Customer Review: Brita from Amazon - GREAT

I purchased the Brita filter replacements from Amazon because the three (3) local area Target Stores were stock out, so I decided to check Amazon. It turned out to be a GREAT idea, it was $2 cheaper and came with free shipping, so I got my filters delivered to my door in 3 days for less money, time, and gas than purchasing at the store.
I'll be checking Amazon more often as my first choice of any purchase over $25, with free shipping and their awesome prices -- it's a steal!

Tap water, in my opinion is not safe. For years, I have used water coolers and filters. I fins the Brita filter attached to the faucet the most inexpensive way to keep my family healthy since all we drink is water and I used this to cook with as well. It is easy to use and the refill filters are reasonably priced in the twin pacs....it gives or months of clean non chlroinated water...I recommend this filter system highly.Customer Review: delicious

The old brita filter went to red and I had to replace it. but didn't because I wanted to try tap water. After a few weeks, I always thought water from the tap tasted warm. Then I realized even cold or warm tasted strange. Well the water tasted bad from tap no matter what. So I went and bought a new filter. The water now tastes great thanks to the new filter. I guess I can't live without it.
