Be sure to fill the filter a few times before installing. Tap the bottom to burp out the air bubbles and install. Run a gallon of water threw it. If it's noisy remove it dump out the water and fill again. This should fix the noise issue. I've only been using it a few days but so far it tastes great. I'll update the review if I find any changes. Buy with confidence.Customer Review: Great product.

I have a Hot point fridge with a HWF filter. This filter fit perfect and works great. I have noticed that this filter makes the water taste better than the original filter did. I would recommend this filter to anyone who has a fridge with an HWF filter.Customer Review: Cleaner tasting water

I put the filter in place the day it was received. After running water through the lines for a couple of minutes I was very happy with the results, great tasting water. I spared no time in emptying the ice dispenser to get new cubes too! It has only been one week and I am completely happy with this filter. Recently I bought two of these refrigerator filters to replace the filter in my GE refrigerator for the first time. I felt comfortable going with a non-OEM part since it was "Brita" and I was happy to realize a couple of dollars cost savings over the GE OEM part. However, I've used the first Brita filter for a few months now and am not pleased with the lack of flow. It take two times longer for me to fill up a glass of water from the door of my fridge than with the GE part.Customer Review: Tastes Great!

Purchased a new GE fridge a while back, and even after flushing the filtered water section for months, it still tasted like ass. I decided to try the Britta replacement cartridge and boy am i glad i did! First of all it's way cheaper than the stock replacement, and it never once tasted like plastic. Be sure to completely fill the new filter, and this means letting the water seep in, bubble up, then filling again over and over until no more bubble come up, then install. Flush a few gallons through and enjoy your non gross tasting fridge water.
