Customer Review: REPLACE NUTONE 9290 CEILING HEATER

I have not received the new heater, this is research and buying info.
In addition to the 154 and 157, the nutone site sells 6 identical-looking units, so I had difficulty with an exact match. The nutone I just pulled from the ceiling (JUST stopped working) is a 9290, at least 20 years old.
I emailed both Nutone and broan, only the Broan rep. has replied. "It would be a Broan 154 . Nutone no longer makes these units", was his first strange reply (copied from his email). Mine has a solid heating element, more like the #157. I asked On my second email that same day "Will the Broan 157 work"? His weird second reply was "It's a suface mount your is 15 diameter the ones now are 11".
DUH! I know it's a surface mount!! I gave up and bought the unit. Hot, neutral, ground. Should be an easy install.
The 157 has a solid element, not the wire type 154. I compared both drawings, most sites offered a Broan installation sheet with a parts breakdown. The elements are DEFINATELY different.
I found sites that list ALL of my 9290 parts, but I didn't consider replacement parts when I bought the 157. I hope they last forever like the dead 9290.
Since they say it fits any 3.5"-4" electrical box I bought it at a fantastic price of $72.00. Bought it Sunday 1-30, no ship confirmation as of Tues.
