Tools and Hardware Reviews of C. Crane BNB Bright Night LED Nightlight BulbCustomer Review: Bright, Blue and White Summary: 5 Stars
If you have a night light, this bulb is all but a must-buy. The brightness is quite good for an LED and it pays for itself in electricity savings in about a year.
I've had some LED bulbs like the Westinghouse Nanolux 3-Watt G19 LED Bulb which I thought were great for porch lights, but not bright enough for indoors, but this Nightlight Bulb seems just as bright as the little incandescent it replaced (though with a more blueish white light).
I highly recommend it.
Customer Review: Weak, top-only blue-ish light Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this to replace a standard 7W incandescent bulb that is installed horizontally in a turtle nightlight. It was not up to the task. Reasons:
1. The light only comes out "upward" of the top half meaning that half of my turtle was totally dark.
2. The color of the light is blue-ish -- normal for white LEDs but it looked bad in the turtle.
3. The brightness is low compared with a typical 7W bulb.
This would probably work just fine in a typical, upright nightlight plugged into the wall -- but it didn't cut it in my turtle.
Customer Review: Replaces Standard 7W Incandescent Night Light Summary: 4 Stars
Overall I was happy with the purchase of this LED night light. I used the bulb in to replace a standard C7 night light for a child's room.
PROS: The brightness was comparable, it uses less power and it emits far less heat. Theoretically it will outlast a standard incandescent.
CONS: The shape is a little odd in comparison to a std. C7 bulb so it was a tight fit putting it into my ceramic nightlight. It is more expensive than a std bulb up front. It looks odd for uncovered nightlight use.
Customer Review: Great replacement, very bright Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this as a replacement for night-light at the top of our stairs. This light was actually too bright, which was a pleasant surprise because I had low expectations based on previously purchased LED lights. I had to move the night-light into the guest bedroom and it still lights up the hallway and top of the stairs. It produces a blueish light, which has been my experience with LEDs. I prefer the warm yellow light of an incandescent, but I'll gladly live with it based on the energy savings.
Customer Review: great little replacement bulb Summary: 5 Stars
I was really apprehensive about putting a $5 bulb into a $2 night light but I am glad I did. It is much nicer than the original bulb. I keep it in a hallway that generally stays a little darker than the rest of the house. The nightlight itself has a light sensor and the original bulb would stay on all the time. This bulb however is very dim during the day (good) and bright at night (great). Not sure why it worked out that way, but I consider it a bonus.
