Customer Review: Looks funny but works...mostly

Slightly brighter than a generic 4W incandescent, but with a higher (bluer) color temperature. However, mine self-destructed after less than 10,000 hours, not even half of the manufacturer's rated lifespan of 20,000 hours much less the claimed 60,000. Looks like the internal circuitry quit and overheated, partially melting the plastic housing.Customer Review: THE BETTER light...

LED / C. Crane, need I say more? This item should come down in price but even as it is it is a great buy. The light is bright, cool running and white (as opposed to incandescent yellow) .
The light is slim enough to fit any existing fixture with ease. Put it into a motion sensitive night light just to add to the green :-)

I bought these to replace the light bulbs on my bench grinder which go out every other week from the vibration. They don't burn out, but are no where near as bright than the 7W incandescent bulbs they replaced. I also tried the Feit LEd bulbs and they are even less bright than these. I brought them inside for the night lights.Customer Review: Melted

We used these in the hope it would last longer than the incandescent night light bulbs we use in our bathroom ceiling fan/lights. I think the light would have lasted longer had it not MELTED next to the 100 watt bulb. This is an excellent choice where you want to save money and never change the lamp ever again. THere is NO heat produced and is very bright, An excellent choice for the replacement bulb for your night light.
I installed one for my ice dispenser. It is a super night light for the kitchen.
