Tools and Hardware Reviews of CH Hanson 03040 Magnetic Stud Finder
Customer Review: Best Thing EVER! Summary: 5 Stars
Studs really frustrate me! I have bought many electronic stud finders I even went so far as to buy the high end Zircon which I find is also hit or miss. This is so simple and amazingly easy to use but it would be even better with an aluminum weight on a plumb line. I even let my kids play with it and they were able to find the studs.
Best $10 ever!
Customer Review: Best Way To Find A Stud Summary: 5 Stars
After using a variety of "stud finding" tools, I've finally ended my search. Short of high tech instrumentation not available to the general public, this stud finder is as good as it gets. It's amazing how we spend a lot of money on battery powered stud finders with all sorts of lights and sounds, when all you really need is this boring yellow magnet.
Customer Review: Great simple product Summary: 5 Stars
Happy to get this product. I was looking for a cheaper product that would do its job and this one truly meets the need. I am a casual user and didn't want to spend top $$ for those fancy stud finders that the local retailers carry. No batteries required so you can use this product out of the box. Smaller in size so it is easy to store. Very practical.
Customer Review: Its OK i guess Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this item to find where my stud where locate in the apt that im renting, unfortunately this magnetic stud finder did nothing. i test all the walls but nothing. so i just went to Google and found a way to measure and find them. that was the way i did it. so please don't waste your time with this, get an electric one, maybe they will do better
Customer Review: Did not work for me... Summary: 1 Stars
I got this stud finder to help me install the TV mount on the wall.We live in a very old house (1910) and the walls are plaster-covered.Maybe because it is built differently from newer houses, this stud finder was not able to find any studs in our house.None even one.Is the product defective? Or...the house does not have any studs or nails on studs?
