Tools and Hardware Reviews of CMT 191.008.11 1/4-Inch Diameter, 1-Inch Cut, 1/4-Inch Shank Upcut Spiral Router BitCustomer Review: Nothing but CMT for me Summary: 5 Stars
I do a lot of woodworking, some for pleasure, some for business. After about a year of using old and inferior bits (hand me downs from my Dad) I broke down and bought a handful of these bits when they were on sale for $10 thinking that they'd last a little while and for the price I could just toss them... how wrong I was. Not only do they produce the best cuts in all wood types (soft, hard, and composites) they last way longer then I ever expected, in fact I still have the first one I bought well over two and a half years ago and it still cuts great (remember to keep your bits properly maintained!).
Now the nice thing specific to this bit is that it's an upcut spiral so it directed the chips up and out of the material you are routing. For me, I have my router mounted in a table, so with this bit the chips are directed downward thus keeping my work top/table practically chip free.
Just from the fantastic experience I had from this one CMT bit I have since purchased several hundred dollars worth of CMT bits and not a single one has disappointed.
Thousands of feet worth of material cut/shaped and counting...
