Customer Review: Very Good Caulk Gun

I have used this gun for a few jobs now. Other reviewers are right that the light weight of the gun makes a difference, and that the fiberglass body prevents you from marking up other surfaces during use. On the one hand, I was surprised that the handle flexed when I was laying down very viscous caulking, although despite this flexing in the handle, the gun seems like it will last some time. I have also found that with more viscous caulk, the gun does not leak when I lay it down between runs of caulk, although with the LIGHTER caulk, there is SOME leaking - not, however, as much as with the other guns I have used in the past.
I rate this gun four stars because the black, built-in seal-breaking pin is virtually useless. Its attachment to the gun is poorly designed, and it will inevitably get lost. It might seem like a small detail, but there are times - like when you're up on a roof without another alternative for breaking the seal in the caulk - you really want a good, built-in pin. As a work-around, just tape on a piece of metal wire or something comparable.
Despite this flaw, I am impressed enough with the weight, precision of the piston control, and general ease of use to plan on buying another one for a friend, who is starting home renovations soon.
