Customer Review: A great hanger--just not for suits
Summary: 2 Stars
Despite the product's name, these hangers are not designed for suits. I expect a normal suit hanger to have (1) sufficient width to distribute the material weight without stressing the fabric, and (2) a slight inward curve to match the natural cut of the jacket. These hangers have neither.
This means that heavier jackets may get indentations over time and will be susceptible to the usual problems associated with straight cuts--a tendency for the suit collar to rise and the shape to become unatural fitting.
While I cannot use these "suit hangers" for my suits, I kept them because I found them to be excellent hangers for my heavier knit shirts, or for some of my wife's suit coats. It provides much better support (length and width) for my knit shirts than my regular hangers, which means I will have less indentations where the shirt shoulders fall of the side of the hanger. Most of my wife's suit coats are made of lighter material, and less of it, making the difficeincies mentioned above negligible or less serious.
Although the hangers have many great applications, I gave them two stars because it fails as a men's suit hanger.
