Slide jack over any length of 2 in. x 4 in. for working away from wall or brace, wind crank, fasten board, pick 2" x 4" up and do it again - jack stays on 2" x 4". Jack locks itself to 2" x 4". Jack holds work in place, HANDS FREE! 2" x 4" floats over top of work, no need to cut or fasten 2" x 4" extension. To pull in last boards requires .25" gap between last board and wall.
