Tools and Hardware Reviews of Chamberlain KLIK1U Clicker Transmitter Universal Garage Door Remote Control

Customer Review: Great value!
Summary: 4 Stars

Just moved into a new place and the owners didn't leave a working garage door opener...the opener is 13 years old (Wayne Dalton 2115) so I wasn't sure if this would work or not (it works for newer openers from this vendor). Bought it to try. It wouldn't work for the code provided but I started trying different codes listed and was finally able to get one to work.

The only thing keeping this from 5 stars was the poor documentation to get this to work with my system, however part of the blame may/should go to my opener.

Customer Review: Works Well
Summary: 5 Stars

This remote works well. The directions were easy to follow and the unit was easy to program. However, this remote only works with 2-position dip switches so I changed the dip switch position on my opener to either up or down to match the dip switch position on the remote and after that it was easy. I used the other button to program from a learn button and this also worked well. Both openers were Chamberlain. The range to open isn't great but good enough and reliable. I would buy another one if a need would arise to do so.

Customer Review: Work with most remote in different frequency
Summary: 5 Stars

I am writing this review to let you know that this remote works with most of garage doors. I have tried to use and program with 4 different garage door with different freq 310, 315 and 390. They all works !

Most reviewers who claimed that this remote does not work should pay and read the instruction or call the customer support.

If your garage door is build after 1990 you should be fine with this remote provided you know how to program it. Again, you have to read the instruction.

Customer Review: I never write reviews, but perhpas I can spare someone.
Summary: 1 Stars

Bought this and followed the programming instructions, several times. Everything seemed to work until I tested it. I called customer service. The automated system stepped me through setup again, but it still didn't work. I was then given the option of speaking to a live person, but after a seeming lifetime on hold I gave up. Customer service, with no estimated wait time and perpetual hold is not acceptable. I wasted a couple hours of my life on this and ultimately returned it for a refund.

Customer Review: Did not work on my garage
Summary: 2 Stars

I meticulously followed the manual to program my remote (both methods) and it did not work. However, my garage opener was not one of the manufacturers explicitly stated on the packaging, so I guess that's not altogether unsurprising. This is probably a great product if your garage door opener is included on that list; however, buyer beware to check that list carefully. Who knew it was important to research a product before buying it? The colors on the "Add to Cart" button are so bright!!!
