Tools and Hardware Reviews of Chamberlain KLIK1U Clicker Transmitter Universal Garage Door Remote ControlCustomer Review: Did not work on my garage Summary: 2 Stars
I meticulously followed the manual to program my remote (both methods) and it did not work. However, my garage opener was not one of the manufacturers explicitly stated on the packaging, so I guess that's not altogether unsurprising. This is probably a great product if your garage door opener is included on that list; however, buyer beware to check that list carefully. Who knew it was important to research a product before buying it? The colors on the "Add to Cart" button are so bright!!!
Customer Review: Skeptical but it worked Great Summary: 5 Stars
I was skeptical about this working after reading a few reviews, but it worked GREAT. I have an old Craftsman opener from around 1992 and a new commercial series LiftMaster opener.. It programmed easily with both. I did have to clear out the Craftsman openers memory by holding the programming button for 10 seconds, then programmed the Universal, then my two craftsman remotes as well as the keypad. I then went through the auto programming for the Liftmaster... All is wonderful....
Customer Review: Only works with ALL brands if by all you mean some. Summary: 1 Stars
Uh, yeah, it says ALL in uppcase letters on the box, but then when you open the package and read the directions, there's a laundry lists of models and brands that it doesn't work with.
I guess -technically- if it works with at least one model of every brand, they are still correct, they after all don't say all models. Still, misleading, if they would just put the that list of models it doesn't work with outside of the package they could have saved themselves a return.
Customer Review: It's a keeper Summary: 4 Stars
Ordered it Tuesday, got it Thursday. Have a 7 year old Wayne-Dalton door opener that originally had two remotes but one of them broke, so this was a replacement. Read instructions and three minutes later the clicker opened and closed my garage door. Can't ask for much more than that. Only "glitch" I found was that I couldn't program both buttons to open the same door - only one or the other. Can live with that. Very happy with purchase and would recommend to others.
Customer Review: Better than I expected Summary: 5 Stars
I bought an older house with a garage door opener installed in c. 1983. The existing opener was held together with plastic tape, and I couldn't find a manufacturer's replacement. I bought this on impulse at a hardware store checkout stand, and coudn't be more pleased. Even though my system was VERY OLD, I was able to quickly program this unit. It is small, and fits easily on my motorcycle. It is smaller than a small cellphone. Perfect. Strongly recommended.
