Tools and Hardware Reviews of Chamberlain KLIK1U Clicker Transmitter Universal Garage Door Remote ControlCustomer Review: Works great Summary: 4 Stars
This is an great product that was used to replace the missing garage doors openers in my new house. The only thing I do not like about it, and the reason why I gave it 4/5 stars is that the buttons are too close to each other. I am always hitting the wrong one or both buttons. I wish there was a piece of plastic seperating the two. I would still buy this product again and would recommend to anyone needing to repalce broken/missing garage door openers.
Customer Review: Works as advertised, after a bit of head scratching Summary: 4 Stars
I was looking for:
a) the smallest garage door opener I could find to make do that my new car doesn't have homelink
b) one that could get programmed from another remote
I was wrong on (b) -- this remote programs from the garage door opener box itself! It took me a while to understand that the boxes do have a programming button (in my case this was a 2008 sears opener). On the second try (different codes) it worked.
Customer Review: Very easy to program for Craftsman openers Summary: 5 Stars
Even though Craftsman is not listed on the instructions, it was extremely easy and fast to program this opener for our 1/2 HP unit. We just had to click the buttons as described in the instructions and watch for the flashing lights - it just took three to work. My husband is thrilled with it. Yes, you do have to be closer to open/close the door than with the old remote, but it still works very well. We are pleased with this unit for certain.
Customer Review: Inadequate range Summary: 1 Stars
With this control you have to be within 10 ft. of the garage door, or it will not open. I wasted money on a new battery for this control, with no improvement in range. This companies old "clicker" model had better range than this unit. This opener has been quite disappointing. I bought another small remote control from another manufacturer that has much better range than this one. I still use both brands of control, and this "clicker" is sad.
Customer Review: Scary Clicker Summary: 5 Stars
Great clicker. I needed an extra for my pocket when I'm outside working and this works every time. The directions were scary at first , but after getting up and down on the ladder to see what type of motor I had, I was OK. I programmed it while on the ladder and had to press a button on motor called a smart button. It was a little difficult for a senior citizen to do , but I'm glad I sweat it out cause it clicked and now works great.
