The Clicker is not a complete replacement for your original opener-remote. It's range is much smaller than your original remote, and if you have power failures or brown outs, you have to reprogram it sometimes. Kind of annoying. But it does work, for the most part. Bought this after losing my original Craftsman remote. I've found this opens the garage from the bottom of the driveway and beyond. Even through the bushes in my neighbour's front yard. Trick is to lower the visor to which the remote is attached.
Clip is versatile enough to attach to thick and thin visors of my two cars.
My Craftsman was an old model, but still had a "smart learning" orange button. Programming was easy. The footnote suggested that Crafstman models were identical to Chamberlain. So when I pressed the remote's learn button twice as suggested for Chamberlain models, the garage lights blinked. Then pressed the remote button again to lock in the code. That was it!

I don't know what anyone is complaining about. This door opener was easy to program to my Mom's garage door and my door. Piece of Cake!!!!
