Tools and Hardware Reviews of Chamberlain LiftMaster 975LM Laser Parking AssistCustomer Review: The best parking assistant Summary: 5 Stars
A siimple device that makes parking extremely easy and accurate everytime.
In our garage we have the stairs and shoe-rack built into the the stair right in front of the space of my car's parking. It was always a guessing game and backing and forwarding chore.
I have set the Red light shine on a ridge on my car's dash. I look forward to parking accurately everytime.
The wires connect to the low voltage wires on the door lifter (believe me very easy to attach). The device then attaches to the roof of your garage with a simple screw. Park your car at desired spot. Then you aim it to the car's dash where you can see the light while seated in the driver's seat.
Installation was very easy, took 25 minutes total - including adjusting the light focus on the desired spot.
Done - :) It turns on everytime you trip the sensors at the garage door.
This device is not in your way when you are working in the garage, but is there when you need it everytime. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: Liftmaster Parking Assist easy to install & works great! Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking for a way to ensure that our vehicle was parked in our 1 car garage so that the doors (they are large, since it's a coupe) wouldn't hit the sides and I would still have room to work at my workbench when my wife parked the car. I considered using one of the parking mats that I have seen but they seemed prone to moving on the floor, so short of buying a concrete strip like the ones used in commercial parking applications, I was unsure of what was the best solution. Then, after researching on the web, I came across the Liftmaster Laser Parking Assist. It was inexpensive, easy to install, and works exactly as intended. Now, when pulling into the garage, it's easy to see the red pulsing laser as it appears on the dash. It is easy to adjust the beam to any location in your car to let you know that the vehicle is parked in the right spot. Installation was a breeze- it only involves 2 wires connected to your garage door opener and 1 screw to mount the device to the garage ceiling. I wish I had known about this product sooner.
Customer Review: Good quality product that works well. Plain and simple. Summary: 5 Stars
I bought and installed two of these after the cheapie battery operated one I bought last year broke. These are quality accessories for a Chamberlin opener only. They are made for and by Chamberlin and probably won't work with any other opener. The nice thing is they operate off the same circuit as the safety switch/beam that gets triggered when something passes through into the entrance. No batteries to worry about and it PULSATES a laser beam. I didn't know that when I ordered it but the pulsating beam is easier to see when driving in and it doesn't draw your eyes to it when you are in the garage without the cars. Great product. I am very satisfied.
Customer Review: Works As Advertised and Is Helpful Summary: 5 Stars
I installed two lasers in my garage so that both my wife and I could park precisely and leave optimum space for the usual garage clutter. They work very well, are visible in bright light, and even are fun.
My wife and I informally "compete" to see which of us can get closer to the self-selected target zone on our dashboards. I usually win, but she's getting better! It's a good product that could save lots of money if one is prone to be distracted. The instant the garage door opens we both focus on the aiming points and eliminate any risk of swiping equipment, walls, door frames, etc.
Customer Review: Dot hard to see Summary: 3 Stars
This does what it promised--shines a dot down that hits the dashboard/hood of your car so you know when you've pulled in. However, the dot is pretty small so can be hard to see. second, it flashes/blinks, so you have to slow down when you're getting close lest you overshoot.
The reason I bought this is because we don't pull all the way in, so the wall-mounted distance sensors wouldn't work. This fits the bill, but I would go with something mounted on a wall (or a string and tennis ball) if you want to pull all the way up to your front wall.
