I have a side by side metal garage door and it was installed with an old Chamberlain 1/2 HP Lift Master model. I read reviews from the others and purchased this PD752D Model as a replacement. It took us two hours to install the new unit and it was a perfect fit. This is our first time install garage opener and it worked exactly what the instruction said. The garage door-opener got here very quickly. This was one of those purchases I've put off for awhile. The installation was easy but took some time. The motion sensor light works so well and quickly. I have a heavy insulated garage door and this works easily with that. The price was unbeatable compared with purchases at my local hardware stores. The new opener arrived in just two days from a local distributor. The next day my husband had it in and working in a couple hours. It's quite simple when you have one already installed and just need to replace it. He used the existing wiring and even the door sensors. We'll save the new sensors for future use. Have been using this opener for 9 months now, including a couple of very cold spells. I can find nothing
wrong with its performance. It is stable, reliable, and quiet. The keypad features would be great for an attached garage,
which I do not have, so I had to purchase an additional remote for my house. A bit expensive, but it will lift a heavy door easily.

This is a DIY product; I hired a friend to install it (track was already there, since I was replacing a 1/2 HP with this new 3/4 HP). He could not get the opener to work properly, had spent many hours agonizing until he finally took it apart and discovered that it had been assembled improperly inside the engine! That was costly, but now it works just fine.
