Works fine. I was going to buy just the gear, but went with this just in case I needed the extra parts. Make sure you lube the gear (gears) or it will shred quickly. Installed about a month ago and no problems.

LiftMaster replacement Gear Kit assembly for ALL 1984-Current garage door opener operators. Compatible with all fail safe units from LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Sears Craftsman, Master Mechanic and Wayne Dalton. Includes gear, plastic worm wheel, Lubriplate grease and all necessary washers and hardware. Original manufacturer replacement part.
