Tools and Hardware Reviews of LiftMaster Garage Door Opener Three-Button 315 MHz Mini Remote Control model 370LM/956DCustomer Review: Does what it says Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this remote about a month ago.
After searching everywhere here in Canada, I looked on Amazon.
The exact same model sells here for $40 each!
This is my first purchase from the Amazon Marketplace. I was a little uneasy about purchasing so I read the reviews of other people who had bought items from this company. In my case everything went very smoothly.
A word of CAUTION. If you are purchasing remotes from Lift Master be very careful that you are getting the one for your specific opener. I found in my research that there are several openers that all look exactly the same. They are for various models. The key is the color of the "Learn" button on your opener motor (inside the garage). Check the color and then check the remote to make sure the color description matches.
About the remote, I love it. It's small and doesn't add much bulk to my key chain. It has three buttons for various features. On my garage I can turn the inside lights on and off and of course open the door. The set up of the buttons is up to you. You can assign the functions to any button you choose-- Well done Lift Master!
I would recommend this product and company to others.
Customer Review: Ideal for cyclists Summary: 5 Stars
This remote is an ideal way to get in the house without carrying a bunch of keys, whether out bicycling with the family or on my daily commute by motorcycle.
It fits easily in a weatherproof zippered pocket. The center button is large enough to be easily felt in the pocket, even while wearing gloves, and the range is enough to allow me to open the garage door while first pulling into the driveway. The other buttons can be programmed for a second garage door or for the opener's lights, something that is handy when they automatically turn off before I'm finished suiting up in the morning or before I finish peeling off a wet riding suit in the evening.
This is the second one I've had (only because I moved); it's exactly right for riders. Be sure to use it in a waterproof pocket or put it in a ziploc bag.
Customer Review: Love these remotes Summary: 5 Stars
I have had two Sears Craftsman keychain remotes and they break easily both at the keychain ring and by changing the battery...had scotch tape holding my last one closed until the keychain hole/loop broke...FED UP so I researched the universal garage door receiver 365LM and my Sears Craftsman Garage Door Opener to find that they would replace my remotes fine. So far I have had no problems which weren't of my own creation. The remote is programmed for two seperate doors currently and has been working great...One thing to note though is that you have to hold the button down for a second or more for it to work as opposed to my old remotes which you just click and they worked, this may be due to the rolling codes but I think it has more to do with the rubber buttons
Customer Review: 370LM works great. Summary: 4 Stars
It worked perfectly (I bought two). As noted elsewhere in the reader comments -- open the light cover of the garage opener; and press the purple [square on my Liftmaster] button. A small yellow light near the purple button blinks.
Press the remote button that you want to use to operate this door and the opener will click. Close the cover; open the door; and be on your way.
1 star off for the relatively high cost of this 1/2 dollar-sized remote.
The buttons are slightly raised, so make sure the door isn't inadvertently re-opened by pushing the remote into your pocket; when you are no longer watching the door.
Customer Review: Convenience that works Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased 2 of these FOB-like remotes to save having to carry keys or the more bulky car visor garage door opener on my morning walks. They came with batteries already installed and it was easy to activate ( press and let go of the set-button on the opener / then press the remote button you want to use and hold/ wait a couple of seconds for the clicks from the opener and voila you are ready to go. I Have been using them now for over a month and both are working great - I even use them to open/ close the garage door as the wall button is further than the key hooks they hang on. Reasonably priced/fast delivery/ highly recommend.
