Customer Review: Works fine, but feels a little flimsy. Make sure you get the right one.

My only four stars review is for the build quality of it. It feels a little flimsy, and every time I press the button on my visor I feel like I'm going to break it if I press too hard.
As for it working properly, it's a piece of cake. You have to press the Learn button on the garage opener so that it starts syncing, and press the remote button right after. The opener will let you know once it's synced, which should only take a few seconds at most. (Check the included manual for specific instructions, if you so desire.)
After that, you can annoy family members and open and close the door at will.
Note extremely well, however, that you MUST get the right remote. Check the color of the Learn button on the opener. Mine was purple, but I didn't know I had to order a specific remote for it to work properly. I initially, accidentally ordered the Liftmaster 971LM 390Mhz Garage Door Remote, only to find that that one works specifically with the other Learn button. If your Learn button is purple, get the all black remote. If not, get the black and gray remote. My Learn button was purple, and the light was orange (which added greatly to my confusion).
This simple research saves time, money and frustration from exchanging the remotes. They're at a good price for $17, as most stores will charge you $20, sans tax.
