Setting up this keypad was very easy... It took me about 30 seconds to configure the keypad with a password and link it to my garage door opener. I have yet to set up a temporary PIN, but it looks simple enough.
Installation was easy and didn't require anything beyond a drill w/ a 1/16 bit, and a screw driver attachment. As long as you're not attaching it to hardiboard or concrete, a cordless drill should provide more than enough power.

This remote device is incredibly easy to program and install. There are two screws included with the remote for mounting. Altogether, it took me less than five minutes from opening the box to having this fully functional and installed. I recently purchased and installed the Liftmaster remote door panel. I needed a way for my son to get into the house without a key. I saw this product and thought it would work if I could install it and program it. It arrived in about 5 days. I installed it in approximately 5 minutes and programmed it in less then 30 seconds. Installation and programming could not be easier; took a few seconds to link up and installation as easy as drilling two screws. I have a Chamberlain garage door opener, so naturally I ordered this. My wife has locked herself out of the house a few times which prompted me to buy this. I work too far to have to leave to let her in. Plain and simple, this is a good opener for the money. The illumination (red) is a little dim, but is clearly visable when ambient light is low. It has the one button close feature which is nice so you don't have to punch the code every time you want to shut the door. I was able to open, install, and program this opener in about five minutes. It even comes with a battery.
