Customer Review: A Must-Have Garage Door Opener Accessory
Summary: 5 Stars

Although I have had my Liftmaster Garage Door Opener for 15 years, I just found out about this keypad opener - I wish I knew about the gizmo years ago.

I live alone, so when I travel away from home for any length of time I'm always fearful that I may lose or misplace my house key while away and then be locked out of my home when I return. Yes, I could hide a spare key on the property somewhere, but this device eliminates having to do so. Now, with the keypad installed, I might not even carry my house key when I travel. I'll just leave my house key hidden in the garage, and use the 4 digit code on the keypad to open the garage door when I return home. Also, now when I leave my home to go road biking, there is no longer any need to bring along my key or garage remote control.

I decided to mount the keypad on the side of my home where all the of connector boxes for my home's utilities are mounted rather than next to the garage door as suggested in the instructions. The keypad is made of durable plastic that can easily be painted to match the color of your home. It takes only a few seconds to get the keypad to learn the opener's RF code.

Customer Review: Absolutely fantastic
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a pair of garage door-openers that were built prior to 1993 and purchased a different keypad to use with them. They were 'supposed' to work with any opener that uses a 'learn' button.
Found that one to be very iffy, it would stop working for no apparent reason and when it did work it needed an extra digit to activate the code. Lousy design as well.
I'm 100% satisfied with this keypad. It was the easiest thing in the world to activate (you simply press the learn button and key in the code and hold the enter button) and totally easy to install.
Well-designed and logical, very much worth its cost.

Customer Review: Button-Buttons
Summary: 3 Stars

Bought this so kids and dog sitter don't always need to remember their keys for front door. The problem I've discovered is that due to the rubber buttons, the pad doesn't always recognize your code. One needs to enter the code several times to finally get the door to open. Also, in the winter, forget it! You might be there for 10 minutes pushing your code in. I wish the manufacturer would do away with the rubber/weather protected buttons. There really is no need when there is a plastic hinged door that covers the keypad anyway.

Customer Review: Long Throw, Fast Setup
Summary: 5 Stars

We have a detached garage. The wife and daughter ride to school/work together, so we wanted a way for whichever heads out the door first to open the garage from inside the house, and thus minimize the time exposed to the elements. After following the simple setup instructions, we installed this inside the house, by the door they use. It's some 40 feet away. Works like a champ! No more fumbling with keys or standing in the rain to open the garage!

Customer Review: Wrong Model
Summary: 2 Stars

I was told that this was the right model for my garage door but, when it arrived I had to call customer service only to be told that my system was so old, estimates ran from 1993 - 1975! - that no opener would be a match.
The upside? Craftsman must have produced a superior product because my door opens without fail, even after all these years. I do hope to get a refund though and initial correct information would have prevented this hassle.
