I needed an extra remote. I went to home depot found a $30 universal remote but that was overpriced. Went here and found the exact same remote that came with the Garage opener for $11. Its very easy to program press the learn button and hold the remote button until you see your garage door opener blink and hear 2 clicks. Press it again and you should see your garage door opening.
@ future buyers this isn't a universal remote, if you aren't buying this for the exact same remote you have, or your not sure if its compatible with your garage opener, buy one that says universal.

The remote was exactly what I expected, brand new, great packaging and it arrived very fast, much faster than I expected but of course all the other reviews said it was fast. I was concerned that maybe it wouldn't have the visor clip or a good battery cause I couldn't find what was included, but I finally found that information in the details of the item on the site and sure enough it came with a clip and good battery. Also, instructions, yea it came with instructions also! In about 15 seconds my new remote was working. Excellent buy and merchant, I would recommend to anyone.Customer Review: orange or green? Before you order a replacement remote, make sure to check the back of the garage door motor unit. If you push the learn button, it will lit either green or orange. The remote controls are color specific. I learned the hard away after receiving the remote. The unit came from Sanford and Son Doors. It's not their fault. Amazon's product description does mention about the 2 colors but because of my haste to get the product, I did not read it. The device functions fine. The range is good. They advertised a 5 year battery life, which I can't confirm yet. As for anything else that is special about it-- not much. It is a square black box with a gray button, obviously not designed by Apple or anyone with an industrial design background. If you carry it into a bar, you are not going to get envious looks or phone numbers from hot Cougars. There are no indicator lights on it. No beeps. No bells. No whistles. The first thing on the instruction sheet is "your garage door must have a learn button" I really wish that the description would have included this information before I made my purchase. I tried calling customer service to try to either exchange or help with a resolution but have not been fortunate enough to speak with an actual person. The "hold" music is lovely and I always enjoy listening to that! I am sure this garage door remote is fantastic- it just won't work on my existing garage door opener.
