Tools and Hardware Reviews of Liftmaster 973LM 390MHz 3 Button Remote(See Tech. Details Below)

Customer Review: Bad range of the system
Summary: 1 Stars

Bought a replacement Transmitter and receiver system from AAA remotes, CA . Problem was the Liftmaster 9* serie transmitters is work on 390 MHz and that frequency is currently jammed by the military. The range of the transmitter gets very small that you have to physical touch the door before it recognizes the signal. AAA remotes is aware of this and keeps on advertising the 9* series as an good replacement system and does not put any disclaimers near the 9* serie products. AAA remotes did not want to replace/exchange for the 315 Mhz models. They are really horrible at their customer service and this policy. I definetly recommend never buy from this organization.

Customer Review: Item works but might not get what you think you ordered.
Summary: 4 Stars

The functionality of the remote is great. The reason for my "review" is I did not receive the item I was expecting from Audrie's Place. They substituted a walnut finish remote for the normal black remote I was expecting without any sort of notification. I know the way a remote looks is not very important, but IMO the walnut finish is down right ugly. The real issue here is it is NOT what I ordered and no one bothered to ask ahead of time if it was an acceptable substitute. Buyer beware!!!

I have contacted Audrie's Place to see what they can do to resolve this issue. I will update my review accordingly.

Customer Review: Less than one minute to get it to workl
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought two of these remotes to replace the two original Sears remotes I had. The old remotes just busted apart at the trigger switch. I put off buying any because I just did not want to deal with the hassle.

Bought these and read the instructions and said, "Yeah, right. No way is it this easy."

Set my stepladder up. Pressed the Learner button and immediately the light clicked. Then I pressed the button on the remote to accept the code and immediately it learned the code and opened the door. Less than 60 seconds to get the thing to work.

Great set up. That is for sure.

Customer Review: LiftMaster made easy
Summary: 5 Stars

Its amazing how far technology has come. This little guy is the easiest thing to program. All you have to do is hold the button on the remote and on your garage opening device for a few seconds and that's all. Its light, durable and does the job. And it comes with the battery too! The only thing you have to be careful with is to check the model of your garage opener (big box that lifts the door) and make sure its compatible. I didnt' know it myself, but apparently some remotes are not compatible with LiftMaster garage openers made before 2005. So definitely make sure yours is. I definitely recommend it.

Customer Review: Excellent garage door openers
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the Liftmaster 973LM garage door remotes after doing a little bit of research. Prior to this I had gone to home depot and purchased 2 different remotes but none worked for me. I realized that the learning button was reddish in color and the 973LM were compatible with my garage door opener. I purchased 2 remotes and it took less than a minute to program both remotes to open both my garage doors. So now I can open either door with either one of the remotes. Very happy so far considering the 2 trips I made to HD before. Also, the price on Amazon was better so saved some money.
