Customer Review: Good clock but way too bright

This clock is good for near sited people. The numerals are large and easy to read, and the clock works well. It keeps good time, the alarm is not too loud so it does not shock you out of bed, and the controls are easy to use and out of the way of the snooze bar. However, even on the low light setting, the clock is like a night light illuminating the room. If it is on the bed stand next to you, that is a problem. I think a similar clock with red LED's is a better choice. (This clock has green numerals.) Now I am looking for a gray plastic film to cover the face of the clock to reduce the brightness.Customer Review: Simple to Set-- Simple to Use

If you want a very easy to read bedroom clock with easy to set time and alarm, with battery back-up, at a fair price this is a great deal. No.... it doesn't have remote control or dual alarms or remember your alarm if you don't set it. It does not feel heavy or expensive and it is made of grade A, #1 cheap plastic-- but it performs well. I bought 10 for use in my Inn, because I need something simple to set that will keep the time if the juice goes out for a micro-second. AND, will not assume you want to wake up at 6am every day for the rest of all time, just because you set it once!Customer Review: I Love MY Chaney Clock

I just received my Chaney clock with the large numbers in green and I love it.Now,when I'm not wearing my
contacts or glasses, I dont even have to squint! You can see those numbers a mile away, and the lady who
complained of the brightness being akin to a "night light", I can only say right on! For those of us who
dont like complete darkness in our bedrooms, it is just right. It's like getting 2 gifts for the price of 1
The only reason I didnt give it a 5-star rating is because it doesnt have a radio. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!

The clock's face looks like a nice cool blue-green LED in the photo, and the plastic overlay it ships with is basically that same color. But the clock itself has ugly yellowish numbers, sort of the color of infected mucus. (Holding the plastic shipping overlay next to the powered-on clock is almost comical, the difference is that extreme.) Given that the main appeal of this clock -- the only way it differs substantially from so many others available here -- is the color of the numbers, I can't possibly recommend this to anyone who isn't colorblind.Customer Review: ELECTRIC CLOCK

After reading some reviews against purchasing this clock, I decided to buy it anyway. My fears were unfounded. This is an extremely good timepiece with a large green display. The displayed time in a darkened room is bright enough for a "nite light".
It was received after only two days from Amazon, well packagaed.
My only advice to a prospective buyer is to remove the plastic cover around the clock and to peel off the green fake time strip from the face of the clock.
