I have tried this clock twice. The first one I received started flashing and the time stopped. I just got the replacement today and when I tried to set the time it would not work. The time button set the alarm and I could not get the clock off 12:00. I have to give up at this point. I was really hoping that this would be a good clock but the quality is suspect.Customer Review: Good Clock, Good Value

I was looking for a basic clock that was easy to program and easy to view. The Chaney Instruments clock turned out to be an excellent value. Its programming is very straightforward. Best of all, the two-inch-tall green digits are easy to read from across the room. (You can adjust the brightness, by the way.) this clock is just what i wanted! a little bigger than i expected but that's okay. it's the perfect brightness and is a great room clock as it doesn't light up the whole room when your sleeping but is indeed bright enough to see in any condition. Big numbers make it easy to see for anyone and has an alarm (no fm radio to go with it though).Customer Review: very dim display

I know other reviewers found the display too bright. It does have a dimmer switch, but at least on my clock the choices are "Dim" and "Very Dim". My conclusion is that probably the quality of the LEDs is poor, with a lot of variation from one clock to the next. It's a very cheap piece of equipment, and not worth almost twenty bucks...Customer Review: Worked great - for about a month...

...and as of today, only the dots between the numbers work. The number LEDs are completely gone. The best part is, even though it has a 1-year warranty, it costs more to ship it back and forth for repairs than it's worth. So if you're looking for a disposable clock, this one is great. If you want one that lasts, look elsewhere.
