I did a cd test on these to see if they would scratch and the 4 applicator pads created MANY MANY small scratches. The rest of the cloths ranked in order of least scratches were Terry>Wool>microfiber all of which made few to no scratches and the scratches made were possibly due to pieces of the applicator pads on them so they should be cleaned before use.

So all in all you are getting 4 fairly decent pads and 4 for some other purpose as i would not use the applicator pads at all... they are not even foam normally used in applicators they are a textured thin thin fabric that seems like it was made for temporary hospital clothing use?

I was already expecting to only get 4 usable pads so I am not too dissapointed ill probably use the applicator pads to buff my headlights or something...
