I was always annoyed by having to keep tugging the shower curtain little by little over the rod to open or close it. It also seemed like I had to replace my shower curtain hangers frequently for one reason or another.
This is a great invention because it makes the curtain slide along the rod with one easy pull, and these clips don't wear out or break. I've had mine for maybe 8 years.
A huge plus is that a vinyl shower curtain lasts much longer when used with these clips because you don't pull on it with so much force or keep tugging at it. (I also only buy vinyl shower curtains with the metal grommets, so that helps, too.)

The Heavy Duty Polished Chrome Roller Shower Curtain Rings are great. When I first got these, they seemed a bit flimsy but looks are deceiving. These curtain rings are very sturdy. Once they are clamped shut, they stay that way. I've had these for a few months now and they have never come a loose or fallen off the rod. What I like best about these rings are their effortless glide on the rod. With previous hooks, I used to have a problem with them snagging against the center connection of the rod and also they would fall off constantly. Never happens with the Chrome Roller hooks.

I finished a bathroom renovation recently and got rid of my shower doors in favor of a curtain. I remember the old curtain rings and how they used to resist being moved and always seemed to snag on something. I saw these roller-rings on Amazon and they looked like they would work well! And do they ever! I have a tension curtain rod and the rings never snag on the mid-point. These are fantastic.
I stayed at a Westin hotel recently and saw these in their catalogue for over double the price of what I paid for them on Amazon!

These shower rings are very nice. They have small chrome balls that let the curtain glide over the bar. Kind of noisy compared to plastic rings but the effort needed to open the curtain up is much lower. The ring has a small dent in it to prevent the balls from falling out during the installation of it on the bar. Not sure what else I could say about these rings other than if you need new rings for your shower curtain give these a try!

For a few dollars more than non-roller curtain rings, these are a steal! I used the old style for years and noticed an instant change when I switched to these. I even tried to purposefully jam these and could not do it. They do not lock together and they do not catch on the curtain rod. Instead, every opening and closing of the curtain is smooth and I don't even notice it anymore! Who wants to be frustrated every time you get in and out of the shower? Get these rings!
