Customer Review: Solid Storage for Kid's Room
Summary: 4 Stars

This product does what it's designed to do very nicely: it takes a wall or closet from Nothing-space into Storage space.

Pros:
* cheap-ish - closest stuff gets spendy. this is not so bad
* With others of its kind, makes for FABULOUS children's room storage. I got a bunch of cute canvas bins from walmart and made an organized, neat wall out of my toddler's chaos. It took an afternoon to set up. wonderful, i tell you.
* modular, neat, and clean: it really looks spiffy

Cons:
* HEAVY box. it was heavy for me to carry it up the stairs
* REQUIRES A POWER SCREWDRIVER! - not really a con, but the "all you need is a phillip's" is misleading. you want a power screw driver, a small hammer, and possibly pliers. but if you have that and read the instructions and are gentle and patient, you CAN put it together. I (mom) am NOT the handyman of the house, but i got three of these up all by myself (she says with pride)
* not the highest quality, but it will do. hey, it's for the toddler's room, not the showcase rooms

Overall, i was quite pleased with how well this worked for storage. i did not, by the way, add on the back panels. they're just cardboard - that was the cheap part, in my opinion.

Customer Review: POOR QUALITY
Summary: 3 Stars

i ordered 3 - plus 21 fabric drawers for my son's playroom. I must admit that i was very disappointed in the quality of the organizer. For starters, the directions refer to pre-drilled holes that do not exist. The laminate chips ridiculously easy - exposing the lovely fiberboard underneath. You can see the screws and the wooden dowel holes from the top of the organizer. While i was assembling the third one, it fell apart and the wooden dowels broke and the pieces chipped. I had to get really creative to assemble it after the dowels were broken in half and i couldn't pull the shredded parts out of the holes.

All in all - this product is just ok. I feel like i've seen a cheaper equivalent at Target and Ikea. The saving grace for this organizer are the fabric drawers. Once assembled with the fabric drawers installed, it looks good. It serves it's purpose, to organize toys in a child's room. I wouldn't buy this to use as a display shelf or to put anywhere where people might see it and be able to scrutinize the quality of the product. It looks cheap.

Customer Review: An okay item, if you get it on sale...
Summary: 3 Stars

We bought this over the weekend, from Target actually, not this seller. It was on sale for $[...]. After spending about 45 minutes trying to figure out their assembly diagrams(they only provide drawings, not written instructions)I gave up, threw the instructions away and decided to go it alone. Once I did that, assembly was MUCH easier. The illustrations they provide do not accurately indicate which board to use for which piece. They don't even have the boards marked 'A' or 'B' as some other brands do, so as to give you a little bit of help. They need some quality control on the instructions front, but once I got the product put together, I am happy with it for a 7 year old girls room. The quality is typical of what you usually find for RTA furniture.

There are probably products out there by other manufacturer's that have just as good quality, but are easier to put together. But, if you can get it on sale and have some patience...go for it!

Customer Review: Good customizable storage for the money
Summary: 5 Stars

This product is great modular storage that you can mix and match to fit your decor. With 3 finishes (white, dark espresso, and alder) and a bevvy of colorful fabric bins, wire or wood baskets and other cubicle fillers, it easily adapts to any room in the house. It is a little heavy, being made of particle board but it has also stood up to wear and tear from the cats and the kids.
We purchased the 9 cubicle for our kid's room as a dresser with drawers. We added a cabinet and shelves next to it to hold games and books. The lines are simple, allowing more floor space. And yes, everything can stack together, be secured to the wall or stand alone. We feel that as our child grows and her room theme changes, that the many options offered for the closetmaid system will give us many many miles out of this relatively cheap piece of furniture.

Customer Review: Great organizer, space saver
Summary: 5 Stars

I just bought another one of these- works very well to hold odds and ends, baby clothes, extra diapers, blankets, etc. I plan to use it later for toys and books. It's a very affordable way to add storage, and doesn't take up much room in our fairly small space. It lays very close to the wall, looks nice, and isn't intrusive. I love that it can be added to over time- the cubes are inexpensive, but they add up, so I'm buying a few at a time. Target sells a natural colored cube that I think is easier on the eyes than the primary colored ones, which would be more appropriate for kids. My only gripe is that the white laminate had a few minor scratches in it, but nothing noticeable. I also feel a little uncomfortable with the plastic screw covers- I'll be gluing them on so our little one can't pull them off (and eat them!)
