I had been looking for something like this for quite some time. Most of the other cube storage shelves were quite expensive. Before I came across this, the best option I found cost around $300 plus a huge delivery fee. I was able to purchase this 3x3 unit as well as two 2x4 units for my closet for half that with free shipping. These Closetmaid organizers were very easy to put together and are quite sturdy. The fabric drawers are a great accessory and hold so much more than I expected.
My two minor issues with these units are the screws and the cardboard backing. There are screws that go into the sides, top and bottom and stick out just a tiny bit. It would have been much nicer if the screws could be level with the panels or even sunken in just a little. There are screw covers provided but they don't stay on very well. The covers could be a choking hazard for small children. The cardboard backing that is provided is folded in half. This made it much less appealing to attach to the back. I was only putting these in my closet so I wasn't too concerned with how they looked. If you're putting this in your living room, It might be more noticeable. The packaging seems big enough that the cardboard flats should not have to be folded.
