the picture on the box for this product is false advertising. When you open the product you will discover that the backing for the cubes is flimsy cardboard AND the cardboard pieces are folded in half so you get a crappy seam right down the center. If tacky cheapness doesn't bother you then go for it. I also found that it did not assemble very nicely either, had gaps and unevenness. It's definitely not worth the $$$ in my opinion. The company that manufactures this product should be ashamed of itself. I returned it and found a similar product that is MUCH better than this one (brand name is Home Essentials).Customer Review: Easy to assemble and looks nice--skip the backing!

I put two of these together in less than an hour with nothing more than a Phillips screwdriver. They look great and are sturdy. The backing pieces are less attractive (basically, folded cardboard), but I wasn't planning to use them anyway. I recommend that you save a lot of time and trouble--and get a more handsome shelf--by omitting the backing. We're using these as a bookshelf and drawer-storage unit in my daughter's room, and she is thrilled with the way they look. The fabric drawers (available in many colors) look terrific, fit like a glove, and hold a ton of stuff!Customer Review: Garbage

It also wobbles when you put it together, not a sturdy piece at all. I got it at target on sale, for 39.99 not worth a penny, I am taking it back after all that assembly. I won't be buying anymore products from closetmaid.
