Customer Review: Nice for the Price!

I received this coat rack two days ago and am very happy with this product, with a couple of caveats.
Aesthetically, it is very attractive, with a finish that is similar to my mahogany furniture. It is approximately six feet tall, with six staggered arms of five inches each on which to place your coats. The quality is very similar to that of the Bombay Company's furniture, which is to say that it is more attractive than it is of high quality.
There are some issues which should be taken into consideration when deciding if this is an appropriate coat rack for you. First of all, it is very lightweight, approximately ten pounds, which means it is not very stable, and would be unsuitable for any heavy-duty type of use, such as a business or in a home in which there is anyone who is rambunctious. Each time one places a coat onto this rack, it has to be done carefully or there is a reasonable chance the rack will tip.
Another consideration is the fact that there are no lower arms on this rack, which does not lend itself to usage by young children whom you may be attempting to "train" to hang their coats or vests regularly. There is ample room at the bottom of the rack where this could have been accomplished, but the manufacturer chose not to do so. This area would have been useful for pocketbooks, hats, etc., and would have provided a little more stability, due to the extra weight at the bottom. I was aware of this when I purchased the rack, so I was not terribly disappointed, but it is a factor to be taken into consideration, nonetheless.
The rack was put together by me in five minutes and was decently manufactured, with screw-in type arms and slide-in legs.
Despite the foregoing considerations, I did purchase a second one for my bedroom for robes and an area to lay out my clothes; so, all-in-all, I was happy with my purchase! I hope this review helps you in making your decision! Happy Holidays to all!
