This definitely works for removing bathtub hair clogs! My bathtub gradually started draining more and more slowly over time. I have long hair, so I knew that was the problem. I am a girl who is not very handy around the house. In fact, I couldn't even get the silver drain cap to unscrew to try to see down the drain. The Zip-It tool was extremely simple to use, and in just 3 times of sticking it down the drain, it removed all of the hair that was stuck. My bathtub drains perfectly now! If it doesn't work for you, twist it once it's down the drain.
When I first used this, I followed the instructions by just inserting it and slowly pulling it back up. It pulled up a little hair, but not much, and actually made my clog problem worse!
The next day I decided to try fully rotating it a couple times once it was down the drain (to give the teeth more chances to grab the clog). That worked -- pulled out tons of disgusting hair, and now the drain's completely clear.

I purchased this hoping it would fix the drain clog in my bathtub. I pushed the Zip It into the drain and pulled out a ton of hair! It says on the package to throw the tool away after you use it but I just took toilet tissue and cleaned it off pulling in the direction of the spikes, not against them. It cleaned off nicely and I can use it again and again. It only took two or three minutes to clean the drain and then clean the tool. I'm very pleased with the results. AMAZING.....I bought this item because all of a sudden, the water in my tub would not go down. I purchased the Zip-IT, brought it home, stuck it down the drain, pulled it out, and there was a rag attached to the zip it!!! Yes a rag had gone down my drain (without my knowledge), and the Zip-It cleared my drain!! Amazing!!!! Draino or Liquid Plummer would not have done that. Every household should have one of these. Simple device that you stick down your drain then pull back out with all the hair and gunk that clogs your drain. We've had one for about 2-3 years and I'd bet it has saved on the need for a plumber or at least more extensive clean-outs. Worth every penny, even if it is just a long piece of plastic. The barbs do the trick. You'll be amazed and probably grossed out! I'm giving them out as part of Christmas baskets...can you believe?
