Tools and Hardware Reviews of Cobra Products 400 Zip-It Drain Cleaning ToolCustomer Review: Not for all type of drains Summary: 2 Stars
I was very excited seeing the results of this product on YouTube. I am hoping this will take care of my drainage problem for at least a few years. So I don't have to dump chemicals down my drain and into to ocean every 6 months. The reality is, it doesn't go all the way in my bath tub drain, only 1/3 of it got in. And it didn't remove a thing. I tried it from the trap hole. I spent over 30 mins and nothing came out! I live in a city apartment. I guess you can try with a wire hanger and see if you can push something down your drain first before you buy this item.
I wish they will mark the page with "May not work with all drains"
Customer Review: Neat drain cleaning tool Summary: 5 Stars
Our shower drain never drained properly ever since we moved in our new house. The builder did not look into this and after 4 years(!) After we ordered this simple drain tool, my husband went to work right away. He inserted the long plastic tool and twisted it several times. What he pulled out was a ball of hair which was stuck to a plumber's putty! Now the shower drains perfectly! Even if there wasn't a plumbers putty in the drain, this gadget really pulls up hair (remember to twist it)! Cobra Products 400 Zip-It Drain Cleaning Tool
Customer Review: Great for hair in bathroom drains Summary: 5 Stars
This little tool does a great job at pulling hair clogs out of the drains in bathroom lavs (wash basins). It's the only tool that doesn't require you to disassemble the drain plug, and doesn't require harsh chemicals.
It cleans easily (use a kleenex to pull the hair off the teeth, taking care not to stick yourself) and can be reused. However, after several uses, you'll notice that the plastic teeth are wearing off. Then it's time to toss it.
We like this item so much that we are buying the bargain 12-pack and putting them beneath each sink for ready access.
Customer Review: Clever and effective Summary: 4 Stars
This does what it claims to do -- be prepared with a large trash bag to put the gunked-up tool in once you withdraw it from the drain. I'd have given it five stars but for $4.99 I wish there had been two or three in one package -- it is a ONE USE ONLY tool. I mean, it's a piece of plastic -- and you could probably use a second or even a third one to really get the accumulated hair and whatever out of your bathroom drain. Consider ordering a second or third one of these. Worth the money, but a second one in the same package wouldn't be expecting too much in terms of value.
Customer Review: Works well Summary: 4 Stars
I've actually had this product for a few years, I didn'nt think to review it until until a recent search reminded me of the product. I use the Zip-It on the drains of my bathub and bathroom sink. It's good at pulling up the hair mixed with whatever else is slowing up the drain. It's nice not having to use chemicals, since my drain flows normally again once I get enough stuff out if it. The only tough part is when you have a drain stopper connected on your sink. I have to twist and slide the Zip-It around to pull it out of the drain, but it still works. It's worth buying.
