It was only $2 for one at Walmart so I figured I might as well give it a shot before I tried shoving chemicals down the drain and ruining the pipes. The first couple times I only pulled out a little clump and almost gave up but ran some hot water down the drain and tried a couple more times and it DEFINITELY worked. So easy! Letting some water down there made the zip-it go down the pipe easier and I think it made it snag easier as well. Worked great, and using a plastic bag I was able to free the zip-it of the blockage easily and bleached it for the next use.Customer Review: Great for fishing

Over all I would say this is well worth the expense. It has worked great for me in the past. But I will say, you have to be careful about the size of your catch. I have not had any problems pulling small sunfish, or minnows out of the drain, but the other day, I hooked a large mouth bass, and I could not get his head, past the trap, had to release him.
All kidding aside, it really did work well for me, pulled a ton of stuff out of the drain. Don't know why others are saying it would not work for them? Worked just fine for me.

I have read some great reviews for this item, so I bought it. It did not work on my drain. I got maybe one strand of hair out with this, but other than that it was pretty worthless. However, it did work on my sister's drain, and it worked rather well for her. I think it has something to do with it not being quite long enough to reach the clog in my drain. I would not buy this tool, as you can go to Home Depot and get a tool for you to keep which will be reusable, and will reach a deep clog for about look for a brass craft for $7. I have long hair. My bathroom sink gets clogged about once a month. I've tried Drano, I've plunged it. I've tried unsuccessfully to take off the sink trap. Nothing worked. I was going to buy a plumbing snake but then I saw this product and saw it was highly reviewed.
I tried it and it was too easy. Literally took me 30 seconds to clear the drain. And it is totally clean. No mess either - everything stuck to the Zip-It tool and I tossed it straight into the trash.
I'm getting a 12-pack next time. Awesome product!
Customer Review: Hard to find, but worth keeping on hand.

I have used this product several times over the last few years. It is difficult to find, thus the reason I am searching on line. I suggest you wear gloves because hair balls, soap and body debris create a slimy mess. So, I grab the rubber gloves and a small bag. I take the hair that I get out of my drain and throw it a small bag and then run the Zip It down the drain a few more times looking for additional clumps. It works like a dream. No chemicals and it takes just a few minute. The worse part is looking at the clumps. : )
