Customer Review: Powerful... so be prepared!

This blaster worked like a champ on my clogged sink. It took 3 blasts to get things going, but that was mainly because I didn't follow the directions the first two times.
- With the first blast, I didn't have any water in the pipe; so of course, nothing happened as the blaster merely puffed air into the open air space. I reviewed the directions and found my error, and filled the drain with water, plus enough to cover the blaster's adapter.
- The second blast was comical. Being underwhelmed with the muffled PFFT from the first blast I held the blaster in place with one hand and pulled the trigger. My wife and I were splattered with water, as were the surrounding walls. That's when I fully realized this thing produces a small air explosion! So be forewarned. If you've used any caustic chemicals on that clog prior to trying this blaster you better make sure they've all been flushed out of the system. If there's any doubt, I would definitely use goggles and gloves, as the directions recommend.
- For the third shot I really leaned into it to make sure none of the pressure would be released out the sides. Boom! The clog cleared.
This product requires a bit of strength. So I'd say it's probably not something to buy for your elderly grandmother to help around her house.

Just a short note, please follow the instructions that come with the packaging. I bought the "New and Improved model" this past Saturday for my utility double sink in the basement. It's been clogged for some time, making it hard to do laundry. I really was not looking to take out a loan to finance a plumber.
First I bailed as much from both sinks as I could, that was an awesome workout in itself...Plugging one side of the sink with a stopper I followed the directions, but I could only make it to 15 pumps. I released the red trigger and I heard this loud "POP"!! and watched as the water on both sides of the sinks vanished. I ran hot water and they both ran clear. I ran upstairs and got a laundry load, both sides are working fine! I am very VERY happy with my drain blaster!

Hi all I just wanted to tell you that I purchased this item to replace a nother item due to supplies not available. The Cobra product works great. Throw those dangerious chemicals away (drano, heat, mr clogg) and get your self one of these. It actualy works so well that Im unclogging a drain in 5 minutes. Im a handyman so I use it alot. Stop paying those high plumming bills and get your self a corbra blaster. I had one for years that worked very well before it lost the ability to keep pressure. Bought another one. It works great, just make sure that there is water covering the top of it to make a seal and then press down hard with your body weight to prevent back splash. If you do that it works perfectly and will clear any clog. If you don't keep your weight on it and press down hard it will splash back in your face. Another solution is to drape an old bath towel over it before you press the trigger. That will stop any back splash. This is the best drain clog remover on the market. The only drawback is it is plastic and can not be fixed. I would buy a metal one in a minute, even for $100,if one was available.Customer Review: Don't do it; You know better...

This item is a joke. You are only looking at this because you don't want to deal with a pipe snake or other messy solutions to a slow drain, but you are asking for trouble. This thing might make a great potato gun, but its no drain clearer. It blows water back in your face, and if there is a weak spot in your plumbing, this will help you find it in short order.
