I am a Grandma and I had an original stool. However when Grandpa and I divorced he got the stool. I always missed the little fella (not Grandpa) and when I found a replacement on Amazon I ordered at once. It isn't real easy to assemble but by backing off bolts here and there I am satisfied with the assembly. As good as the original and the bright red color is a knockout. When I was a kid, Grandma had a stool like this in her kitchen. When company came, we fought over who got to sit on the stool ! All of us kids loved it. When I saw this stool for sale I ordered one immediately. And I was NOT disappointed. The stool is light weight enough to carry easily. It is sturdy. The steps slide out or in with no difficulty. I purchased this similar product from a department store years ago and used it for a long time. I was glad to find it online and ordered it. Putting it together was a little hard aligning all the holes and screws. Noted most of the supporting pieces were made of metal except the most two important ones that the step stools slide off from were plastic. My Grandmother had one of these in her kitchen and it was always my favorite place to climb up and sit at her breakfast counter. I loved it and am so glad to see it back in style. After possibly hundreds of children and adults using it to sit, stand and climb, and after 50+ years, it is still working and in fine condition. If these new ones are as good quality, definitely a great buy! Very sylish too! :)
