I wasn't sure it could hold my king size heavy flannel sheets with out breaking but it does if you balance the load. This clothes dryer has already held up to a few good winds. It was shipped in a heavy box, opened right up, it has easy readable directions and is easy put in the ground. The clothes dryer strings are uniform and tied very nicely, it is very large and deluxe as stated. It makes it fun to hang your clothes out. One thing it spins unexpectly but that to me is a good thing because you also want it to spin when you are hanging the clothes on the line. Looking to save money anyone??? That was what prompted me to look into hanging clothes outdoors versus my electric clothes dryer. I did what I always do when I'm looking for something specific, the internet!! I liked the idea of parallel lines to take up less space and the fact the lines rotate so you can stand in one spot and spin the line. I like shopping at Amazon because you can research a product before purchasing it. This product had good reviews. I have been very satisfied with this clothes dryer and would recommend it. It's lightweight but seems very sturdy. You can take it down and put it back up easily.Customer Review: nice portable clothesline

Arrived in a timely fashion. My husband and I dug a small hole and mixed about a gallon or redimix to secure the post holder. It set up and I started using it in two days. I hung 4 loads of laundry on it. It's a lightweight device so I started hanging laundry in the center and the device spun freely so that I could easily stand in one spot while securing the laundry to the line. I turned it as I worked to keep the load balanced. After the laundry was dry, I folded it up, pulled the clothesline out of holder and put it away. I saved money on electricity, reduced my carbon load, and the clothes smell so nice!Customer Review: Not for me.

I followed the instructions to a T with the installation of the bib in the ground (dig a hole, put rocks in the bottom, put the plastic bib in and pour cement around it.) But the darned thing blew right over in the wind the first time I used it, and every time thereafter. Even blew over with 2 cinder blocks on top of the concrete.
It is also difficult to get from the folded position to the open position.
I went back to a traditional clothesline because it is so windy where I live. It dries the clothes well if you can get it to stay upright, and it is lightweight and easy to get into the bib.

This is just like the ones they have in the UK, but which I see rarely in the US. Seems solid enough though it would be nice if the plastic joints were a bit more substantial. We have rarely used the electric drier since. It just needs to be dry outside and preferably a bit of wind for this thing to work.
To install it, I used a piece of 2" galvanized pipe with a nail across the bottom instead of the plastic base that came with it and hammered the pipe into the lawn - works great.
Recommended if you are trying to save a bit of energy and be a bit more "green".
