Customer Review: 8' Retractable Clothesline - Below expectations

I purchased Crawford-Lehigh RC8 8-Foot Retractable Clothesline for use in the laundry area of my garage so I can dry my gym towel and clothes in between washings. I am marginally satisfied with the purchase. Overall it serves the purpose, but the quality fell short of my expectations.
Pros:
* Easy installation: drill a couple of holes in each of the opposing walls, hammer in anchors, and attach the spool on one wall and the line holder on the other.
* Good tension for a small load
Cons:
* The plastic body of the spool looks white in pictures, but in reality it is off-white grayish color. We wanted it to be pure white to match the appliances and the furniture in the laundry area.
* The back of the spool has some sharp uneven edges caused by the manufacturing process. This is not noticeable when the spool is installed, but gives a low quality feel.
* The line passes through some sharp holes and shows signs of fraying even though I only extended it 3-4 times. For now, I left it extended to minimize wear, but that defeats the purpose of having a RETRACTABLE clothes line.
I would not recommend this product. If it breaks, I will look for a different solution or a different brand of a retractable clothesline.
UPDATE: A year later it failed with minimal use. We used this line mostly in the summer to dry swimming clothes and did not even retract it daily, but first the outer covering of the cord failed and prevented the line from retracting and then the cord itself broke. Overall, this product did not last long with minimal use and did not meet my expectations at all.
