F- PLUS Sealed Countertop Fluoride Water Filter - This sealed water filter uses the latest technologies that blend the adsorption capabilities of coconut shell activated carbon with REDOX, (which has been tested to drastically reduce or effectively remove: Chlorine, Lead, Arsenic, Barium, Cadmium, Chromium, Selenium, Mercury, Iron and other metals that may be present in the water) and fine-mesh pre-resin media (SIR-900) to the unit to reduce fluorides below 1/2 ppm. Capacity is up to 11,000 ppm with effluent levels below 0 .2 ppm from 10 ppm feed. Note: high pH and high bicarbonate levels reduce capacity-above 100 ppm bicarbonate, reduction by 50%; above 200 ppm, reduction by 75%. Also effectively removes arsenic. Sits on the counter and easily connects to any kitchen faucet. A diverter valve switches between filtered and unfiltered water. It can be easily back washed. Semi annually back washing of the unit not only ensures balanced filtration and eliminates the potential for channeling, but also back-flushes the unit.Tools and Hardware
