Customer Review: Easy to install, doesn't leak

After seeing the plastic attachments on other faucet-attached filters, decided to try this one. It has a metal attachment that replaces the aerator, and was easy to install. It comes with several adaptors to probably fit most faucets, and it has worked flawlessly for over 2 months. I really don't have a clue as to how well the filter works, but the water comes out clear and odor-free. The auto shut off when the faucet is turned off works perfectly. Based on reviews, I tried this filter and it works fine. IT is easy to use, so easy to put on and gives us great tasting water. AND it's cheaper than our "cheap" one that we already have. Really like it! We were looking for a good water filter to replace our cheap Brita filter. When the old brand filter is on properly it worked great. The problem was it didn't last. Every time I replaced the filter, it had gotten really old. Replacing the whole thing was definitely the way to go.Customer Review: Unimpressive but adequate

We just drilled a new well and the water's a little smelly. We couldn't afford to add a whole-house filtration system, so this will have to do for now. It does seem to take the smell out of the water, but it runs very slowly. The instructions say to not run hot water through it, which is a bummer, since washing the dishes is when you really get major odor from the water. Doesn't make sense to me; we bought the showerhead filter as well, and you can run hot water through that.Customer Review: Supplied Adapter For Faucet Connection Causes Leaks

We have a Delta Kitchen faucet in good condition and installation of the supplied adapter and attachment resulted in leakage above filter at the adapter. Tightened carefully, untightened and retightened several times in seeking to close the leak. Was unsuccessful. Pressure of water channeled through the the unit even when filtering element was "off" was insufficient to wash dishes effectively. Followed all OEM directions to the "T". Not a good experience.

Like other reviewers the Culligan filter will not attach to any faucet in my house. I went to a very large hardware store, Elliots in Dallas, and they were unable to find any conversion piece that will make this filter fit my faucet. I have totally wasted my time with this product so I think one star is generous. And since others have made the same comment I would think that Culligan would pack some conversion attachments in the box since this seems to be a recurring problem.
