Tools and Hardware Reviews of Culligan FM-15RA Level 3 Faucet Filter Replacement CartridgeCustomer Review: Cost-effective, non-fussy faucet mount filter Summary: 5 Stars
I used these 5-6 years ago, but then the local store that I bought them from stopped carrying them. I moved to a few other choices. More money, blinky lights and low volumes were what I got. One was suppose to last a year, but lasted 5 months.
Finally found these on Amazon. It's nice to be back with my favorite. I can schedule my own replacement (or now, just wait for the Amazon subscription to arrive to let me know it's time).
These don't suffer from low volume as bad as the others. The method to keep them in (just a threaded filter) is less fiddly. They are very cost-effective.
Customer Review: Great For Awhile Summary: 4 Stars
The good: the filter is quite easy to install(although I needed pliers, which the instructions said were not needed). The water quality is really great.
The not-so-good: You must change the cartridge every 2 months. The company claims you simply turn the
old cartridge counterclockwise and install the new replacement cartridge. I tried it,and found that the original
cartridge would not turn at all. Now the unit leaks slightly, and I must buy the entire unit if I am to continue
filtering water with this product.
My bottom line: a new unit every 2 months.
Customer Review: By Vinutz Summary: 5 Stars
This filter is really nice, have used it at my Florida condo for about a month now and still on the orig. unit. I use about 2-3 gallons a day and its a pleasure to use after using the Brita Water pitcher system. This unit is smaller than the other faucet filters and is metal not plastic and really easy to install. I like the auto shutoff feature so I dont run hot water through it by accident. I have an undersink 150.00 unit in my home in NJ and it doesnt work as well as this unit. I would suggest you turn faucet on only half way for better results.

Customer Review: The water filter Summary: 5 Stars
Ever since I have been drinking water from our kitchen faucet, I was never aware of all the bad things that the ordinary city water contained, like: lead, water impurities, and who knows what else? Since reading an artile on the subject "How save is our drinking water", the impact that hit me between the eyes, was to search for a good water filter, that I found on Amazon.com, where to my relief I found Culligan faucet water filters. Now I know what clean water really tast like! I will never drink unfiltered tap water again! Charlie Cullgan FM-15RA faucet water filter.
Customer Review: Polypropylene filter a health hazard? Summary: 2 Stars
I was researching water purifiers and was most interested in the Culligan, until I noticed that the filter is made of polypropylene, which is itself a suspected health hazard ( liver and respiratory). I would recommend reading more from the Environmental Working Group or other scientific literature readily found online before purchasing something that may pose its own risks while protecting from other contaminants. I don't know if there are safer alternatives (still looking), and maybe this is the same for other brands, but thought this is worth mentioning.
